A documentary film project telling the story of parachuting’s forgotten woman pioneer
The “Tiny” Documentary Film Project
Our mission is to produce a feature length documentary telling the incredible and inspirational true story of Tiny Broadwick.
Our film will feature interviews with Tiny’s family members, women she inspired and subject matter experts. We also have access to Tiny’s scrapbooks which have been meticulously organized by her great-granddaughter Mischa. We will also film many of the artifacts her family and museums have and incorporate that with archival videos and photos. All of this and more will come together to create a film that finally tells Tiny Broadwick’s story.
Currently we have cooperation and support from Tiny Broadwick’s family, the United States Army, North Carolina Museum of History, the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and more.
We are working with the Southern Documentary Fund, a registered 501c3, on this project and all donations above $400 are tax deductible. You can donate to the project here.
We have already begun production and are now seeking support and donations to complete the film.

Our distribution plan may change, but it currently involves a premiere night at the NC Museum of History. The NC Museum of History is on board and proposed this idea.
Distribution will also involve a film festival run and/or distribution on PBS, which we are currently in distribution discussions with.
We are also open to streaming outlets if they express interest, and the film will be made available online at some point.
“To tell you the truth, I loved high places even as a child. I well remember a very tall tree in our backyard that I used to climb just to get away from everything and everybody. I could climb up into the very top and could imagine what it would be like to soar even higher”
